[exhentai] [nhentai]This was my most controversial job. The sister character in the original is half English, and her speech is peppered with (somewhat broken) English. In an attempt to localize this "foreigner appeal", and preserve the bilingual nature of the character for the English speaking audience, I changed all her English lines to French. This isn't uncommon in anime localizations, but of course any changes are likely to spark ire from a passionate fanbase. The funniest part to me was when French speakers complained about the French being broken (I don't speak French, I used google translate), and I was like, ok so it matches most of the English in anime lol.
